This article describes how to update the password used to access BluePoint, Greenbyte and the Power Factors Support Portal 1.
BluePoint, Greenbyte and Power Factors Support Portal users can login with the same set of credentials. This means that:
If a user is logged in to one platform, they can also access the others, and
If the user resets their password on one platform, it will also be reset for the others.
Before a user can update their password, they must first log out from ALL three platforms:
On the Power Factors Support Portal, click the user icon in the upper right corner then choose Sign out from the menu:
On Greenbyte, click the he user name in the upper right corner then choose Log Out from the menu:
Likewise on BluePoint, click the he user name in the upper right corner then choose Log Out from the menu:
Log into the Support Portal, Greenbyte or BluePoint.
The user will be asked to Enter Your Password – click Forgot Password? instead of entering credentials:
Users will be asked to provide their email address so they can be sent a password reset link – click Continue:
A screen will appear asking the user to Check Your Email:
They should receive a Password Change Request email – click Confirm:
The user will be brought to the Change Your Password screen where they will be asked to add and re-enter a new password that satisfies the following requirements:
At least 8 characters
At least 3 of the following:
Lower case letters (a-z)
Upper case letters (A-Z)
Numbers (0-9)
Special characters (e.g. !@#$%^&*)
Click Reset password:
Users will then see a Password Changed! notification – they may now proceed to log into the Support Portal, Greenbyte or BluePoint with their updated credentials:
1The screens presented in Steps 3, 4 and 8 will show the logo that corresponds to the platform where the password is being updated.
